One sample is a color blanket of New England Spin Company silks woven in a point twill weave structure and chevron pattern featuring five sections of various color and pattern combinations. The color combinations are white and multi-colored nub (two sections), turquoise and white, and white and white. There is a label attached to the sample referencing draft used as cloth 138. The samples vary in size from small pieces to large fabric cuts. Four of the fifteen samples have cardboard product tags with "Habit' yardage handwritten on them and one swatch is accompanied by paper letterhead from E.X.P. Shops D.C. Churchill Proprietor, Oberlin, Ohio. Handwritten on one product label is "yarn from a Sheble." In addition to samples in style 6330, there is one dark brown and black swatch in style 63X19, patterns 1 and 2, and three black wool samples in style 6328, patterns 1 and 2.
Box 31-261 contains 3 finished baby blankets woven in basket weave structures of wool yarns. Two blankets (style number 3310, pattern 1, and style number 33X1, pattern X5) have wide borders woven in a combination of peachy pink and white yarns. The borders one each is accented by pastel blue and white high sheen threads on both sides and meet at corners to form white squares. The third blanket, style number 3310 and pattern 1, is mainly white but has a peachy pink border and pastel blue vertical and horizontal lines crossing at the middle. A paper note is attached to this blanket that is dated 7-20-33, "Warp Grundy Yarn Weft is Caron."
