Box 31-558 contains 13 textile samples of scarf and muffler fabric including one finished muffler and one finished scarf that is made by Apache weavers. The style numbers and numbers per style are 1A17 (7 samples, patterns A, B, C, and D), 1A19 (2 samples), and 1X90 (3 samples, patterns A and B). Style 1A17 samples are muffler fabric in white wool of varying gauge basket weaves, one is twill weave, with white novelty yarns. Style 1A19 samples have white warp and weft yarns in wool with a pattern of wide herringbone stripes alternating with thinner basket weave stripes. One sample has a black stripe. Box 31-1164 contains 6 purses, 2 needlework bags, and 1 change purse. The purses and bags in this box represent a variety of styles, patterns, and materials. Four of the purses are constructed from fabric woven in coverlet style overshot weave structures. Two of the purses feature Bakelite handles. Three purses are identified as coming from Purcell's, Lasalle & Koch Co., and Marshall Field department stores. One needle bag is made from printed fabric with an Asian design.

Box 31-1896 contains 1 flannel blanket, 1 flannel throw, and 9 wool swatches. All samples are outside purchases from various companies. The blanket was made in Czechoslovakia is from B. Altman & Co. and is made of lilac colored flannel with grosgrain binding. The nine swatches are woven in four-fold basket weave structures. The warp and weft colors vary with each sample, but the color shades are light heather blue, pale brown, white, heather pink, dark salmon, golden-yellow, light heather orange, and heather lilac. This is a U.S. Army nurse's overcoat. It is full length and made of military pink wool. It has six front plastic buttons and the coat is double breasted. It has slit pockets at the waist on the left and right. There are tabs at the shoulders and cuffs. It has a double lining. The first is attached by zipper. It is olive drab satin over khaki wool. The second is a full length olive drab satin. The coat has a belt at the rear.
