Description 1 finished wool poncho is woven in a plain weave structure. Warp and weft threads are alizarin red for the background color, and black and white in a stripe overshot pattern (number 5). The stripes are formed by over six under six threads with the overall effect of lines of dashes. The ends are unknotted short fringe. There is a cardboard product tag stapled to the fabric. There is also a fabric sewn on label reading "Churchill Handwoven".
