Description This is Representative Ben Johnson's official Christmas card. The card depicts a colored image of an evening winter scene on the front which features a two-story house with a wreath on the door, windows lit, and smoke coming out of center chimney. People are riding in a horse-drawn sleigh through the snow. The phrases "Christmas / Evening" and "Season's Greetings" are in the lower corners. The inside of the card depicts a snow covered house and horse drawn wagon in top left corner. Inside of card is printed "Christmas greetings / and all / good wishes / for the / New Year / Ben Johnson [signature in blue ink]." On the back of the card, the maker's name is printed in small text along the lower edge in the center: GIBSON CINTI., U.S.A.
Notes Ben Johnson (1858 - 1950) was a lawyer and politician. He was a Democrat in the United States House of Representatives from 4 March 1907 to 3 March 1927.
