Description This is a political campaign button, made by lithographic process, for Thurston B. Morton. It has a white background with blue band just below the middle across middle. Above the blue band is a slogan that reads, "VOTE/THE MAN" in red print ("THE MAN" being underlined). Within the blue band is the name "MORTON", in white print. It has a sitckpin on the back
Notes Thurston B. Morton(1907-1982) defeated incumbent Democrat Earle C. Clements in the 1956 U.S. Senate race and was re-elected in 1962. The donor worked in the local presidential campaigns of Republican Nelson Rockefeller in 1964 and Democrat Eugene McCarthy in 1968 in Louisville.
