Description This is a Hubert H. Humphrey of Minnesota and Edmund Muskie of Maine presidential and vice-presidential campaign button from 1968. It was made on tinplate using the celluloid process in three colors, red, white and blue with a stickpin on the back. "Humphrey" is in white lettering on blue background; "Muskie" is in white lettering on a red background; and there is a thin white stripe across the front separating the two names.
Notes Hubert Humphrey of Minnesota and Edmund Muskie of Maine were the Democratic ticket for 1968. They lost to Republicans Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew.
