Description This is a glass radio vacuum tube filled with mercury. There are flexible copper leads that extend out of bottom of the tube. It has a steel band around its base with a bracket. There is single brass pole extending out of the top with a ceramic mount which is stamped, "WESTERN ELECTRIC / USA / 266B." The numbers "7976" are stamped in silver on the exterior of the glass globe just below the ceramic mount at the top.
Notes This was used at WHAS and was the Jeffersontown transmitter. It was in use at about the time of the 1937 flood.
