Description This is a circular celluloid process metal political button with a ribbon attached for the Edward Kennedy presidential campaign at the Democratic National Convention in 1980. The button has a dark blue background with a drawing of a white sail boat on water. Over the boat there is white lettering that reads "Kennedy '80/ Sail/ Against/ the/ Wind". On the curled under edge there is a white space with dark blue lettering that reads "PC BUTTON CO 5305 WILSON LANE BETHESDA MD 1980". A dark blue satin ribbon has white lettering that reads "DEMOCRACTIC/ NATIONAL/ CONVENTION/ NEW YORK CITY/ AUG. 11-14, 1980" At the bottom there is a stylized outline drawing of a donkey around underlined two stars. The ribbon has two points on the end and is adhered to the lower section of the back. A clasp pin is attached to the back.
