Description This is a circular political button, made by lithographic process, for Harry Truman's presidential campaign in 1948. It has a red and white portrait of Truman on the front with his name "HARRY S. TRUMAN", in red print located at the bottom. There are two repetitive manufacturing labels stamped on the back. The first is a union label which reads, "UNION LABEL/LOCAL NO. 4/AMALGAMATE/LITHOGRAPHERS/OF AMERICA/CHICAGO/REGISTERED", in red print. The second is another union label, which reads, "UNION LABEL/LOCAL 115/SHOP 5", in red print. It has a stickpin on the back.
