Description This mahogany (?) plow plane has an adjustable fence. The handle is mortised into the stock and there is a narrow cutting iron with open throat. There is a steel depth stop screwed to stock. The fence has threaded wood posts through the stock with washers and turned wood nuts.
Notes James Bracelin was listed in the 1850 census as an edge tool maker, age 34, living in Dayton. Still listed in 1869, his planes are seldom seen, rare according to Pollak.
