Description This is a lacy, pressed glass cup plate. The plate has a scalloped rim consisting of alternating arcs of two small and a large one. The outer border consists of cornucopias and double topped shields (four shields total). The inner border consists of scrolls. A cameo like bust of Henry Clay facing left is found at the center inside a 1" diameter rope-like circle. Beneath the bust is star.
Notes This is a Henry Clay cup plate. Clay (1777-1852) was the presidential candidate of the Whig party in 1836 and 1844. He lost to James Polk in 1844.
