Description This black fountain pen rests inside a cap that is mounted to a marble slab. Below the pen mount there is a brass plate with an inscription reading what the pen signed and who it was dedicated to engraved on it. The plate reads, " This pen signed The State Employees Retirement Law / and was presented to V. E. Barnes / by Gove. A. B. Chandler / Feb. 1956".
Notes Governor A. B. "Happy" Chandler used this pen to sign the State Employees Retirement Law.
