Description This is a tape loom. It is a flat board with curved cut-outs in each side of the handle and a leaf shaped cutout in the center. It has eighteen teeth cut into the end and tines with two holes drilled in each along a horizontal row. The tips of the tines are trimmed into protruding Vs secured open with tiny wedges. The handle has a nail on either side.
Notes Used to weave braid, tape, belts, and garters. Collected by the donor from antique stores, barns, etc. in southern Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky over the last thirty years.
