Description This is a pair of spectacles or eyeglasses. The frames are brass squares with rounded edges. The nose piece or bridge has a curve in the middle. The arms/earpieces are wrought iron and are hinged about two inches from the ends. There are metal loops on the end that are 3/4 quarter inches in diameter. The frames contain magnifying glass.
Notes It is possible that this piece is a married set of spectacles. The frame design dates from the 1840-1850 time period. The arms' design dates from around 1790.
