|Description||This is a wooden dobuletree, used to hitch two anismals to a wagon or sled. It has a wooden cross bar and metal fittings, including a hook on each end and a bracket in the center which has a leather strap tied to one end.|
Collected by former staff at Eastern State Hospital for a planned museum, 1956-69. Eastern was opened in 1824 as the state "Lunatic Asylum." The collection documented the lives of patients as sick persons and as wards of the state forced to earn their keep.
