Description This oak chair is stained a dark color and has a floral design painted on the backward curving backrest. The arm rests undulate and are connected to the seat by thin wooden spindles. There are turned spindles connecting the chair bottom to the chair rungs on the right and left sides. The rungs on the front and back are simple in design. There is a thin line of pinstriping around the edges of the backrest and the front of the chair.
Notes This chair is from the Louisville home of author Alice Hegan Rice who was the author of 'Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch'.
