|Description||This black and white campaign poster shows a photograph of David Boswell wearing a dress shirt and tie and holding two handfuls of dirt. David Boswell, a Democrat, served in the Kentucky State House of Representatives from 1978 to 1983, and he was the Commissioner of Agriculture for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture from 1984 to 1988. He was also a member of the Kentucky State Senate, 8th District from 1991 to 2011.
This poster was donated on December 30, 1986 by Drexel Davis. Davis, a self-described "Yellow Dog" Democrat, held several elected positions in the Kentucky state government. His thirty-three years of public service prompted his interest in collecting political memorabilia.
