Description This is a wooden test tube rack.There are three horizontal platforms that are dovetailed into the sides. There are holes in the top bar for thirteen 3/4" tubes. There are holes in the middle bar for twelve 1" d. tubes and twelve corresponding openings on the botto shelf. The bottom shelf also has twelve vertical dowels for drying tubes. There are twelve glass tubes in the rack.
Notes Used in an office in Cadiz; used by 5 doctors between 1894-1975; Donor uncertain who purchased this equipment. Homer Blane (1873-1918) set up the office with his father Henry. Dr. J. Lacy Hopson (1883-1926) followed Blane. The donor's father, Dr. John Futrell (1899-1974) and his brother Elias (1899-1979) practised there from 1927-1974.
