Description This is a stamped shield-shaped tinplate label tab button with a folding tab on top with punched spur. It was printed by the lithographic process and has a blue upper third with nine stars and the word "ELECT" in white. The white middle third has the names "COOK / SCHMIED" in blue. The bottom third is comprised of red and white vertical stripes.
Notes Marlow Cook, incumbent Republican Jefferson County Judge-Executive, was re-elected in 1965. Kenneth Schmeid lost his bid for the Louisville mayor's office.
