Date ca. 800
Material(s) Earthenware
Dimensions H-2.625 Dia-1.75 inches
Description The earthenware jar is a light gray-brown color and is sand and grit tempered. It has a flared rim, punctated neckband and coil construction.
Notes The pottery type may be Indeterminate Neckbanded Gray. Indeterminate Neckbanded Gray (A.D. 775-975). This category is for neckbanded sherds that cannot be typed more specifically because (1) only one wide band is present, making it impossible to assess the degree of overlap between bands, or (2) the configuration of the coils or bands is transitional between Moccasin Gray and Mancos Gray.
