|Description||This is a walking spinning wheel. It is made of wood. It has a diagonal board that supports the wheel and spool arm on top and three legs on the bottom. The wheel is very large and has 12 spokes. It is attached to the board with a wooden arm.|

The walking wheel was used by Lucy Cox Pedigo and her daugher Eugenia Ellen Pedigo Van Zandt.
According to the 1880 Federal Census, Lucy Pedigo (Pedego in census) was born about 1832 and was living in LaFayette, Metcalfe County, Ky. Her husband was George W. Pegigo, listed as farmer. They had children: Robert S., Emily F., Alley G., Eugene (Eugenia?) E., Lemuel H., and Emit T. "Eugene" is listed as a 14 year old female.
