Description This print of Henry Clay features Clay standing in the center of the image. Clay is looking toward the left side of the image while gesturing to the right side. The left background features a farm with a plow, anvil, a ship and a loom shuttle. The right side of the image is dominated by a large white column and an American flag. A globe is on the floor on the right side of the image.
Notes This image of Clay was painted at his home in Ashland, Kentucky by John Neagle. Later, a series of prints were done by John Sartain based on the original painting.
