John Griffin Carlisle (1834 - 1910) served as the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, from 1883 to 1889 and afterward served as Secretary of the Treasury, from 1893 to 1897, during the Panic of 1893.
Henry Ulke, the artist, was born in 1821 and died in 1910.
