Description This is an elaborately carved wooden cane with a variety of motifs. The top of the cane has a crook with inlays of hearts and diamonds with tiny steel nails in the center. To the sides of the crook are a rooster and a duck(?) both with inlay of a darker wood. Going down the body of the cane there are snakes, a horse shoe, a fish with the date "1899", a turtle, an eagle with a US flag shield, wood working tools such as a plane, saw and compass, gloves with stars on them, and wheat. There is an indentation at the foot where the metal tip belongs.
