Description This is a metal lapel pin campaign button that was created for the 1967 gubernatorial campaign of Henry Ward. The pin is shaped as a claw hammer and has the inscription "WARD" written along the handle of the hammer. The back of the button has a maker's mark inscription which reads "BALLOU / REG'D" signifying that it was created by the B. A. Ballou Company.
Notes Democrat Henry Ward lost the 1967 Governor's race to Republican Louie Nunn.
