Description This is a rectangular lithographed metal tab type political button for the presidential campaign of Hubert Humphrey in 1968. The button has a white background with navy blue lettering reading "HUMPHREY" with a thin red line across the top and the bottom. There is an unintelligible union bug in the center of the tab.
Notes Hubert Humphrey, Senator from Minnesota, was the Democratic presidential nominee in 1968. He lost a close election to former Vice Pres. Richard Nixon. The donor worked in the local presidential campaigns of Republican Nelson Rockefeller in 1964 and Democrat Eugene McCarthy in 1968 in Louisville.
