Description This is a circular celluloid process metal political button for the Vice-Presidential campaign of Al Gore in 1992. The button has a gradual change from yellow to orange sunrise background on the upper two-thirds from left to right with black lettering that reads "TENNESSEE'S OWN FOR V.P./ AL/ GORE". A color photo of Gore with a white shirt and red tie is in the right center against a black background in the lower third of the button. There is a safety pin closure attached to the back of the button.
Notes Al Gore, Senator from Tennessee, was a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and 1992. He became Bill Clinton's running mate and was elected vice president in 1992 and 1996.
