Description This is a black straw hat is an open weave style. It has a short crown and narrow brim. There is a black silk ribbon embellishment around the brim of the hat. There are fabric flowers in yellow and pink on the front and on both sides of the hat. There is a black grosgrain ribbon trim on the inside of the crown of the hat. The ties are black cotton. The straw edge of the hat is wrapped around a black cotton covered wire.
Notes This hat belonged to the donor's grandmother who purchased it at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, informally known as the 1904 World's Fair, in St. Louis, MO.
