Description This is the bottom section of a tumbler made of blown glass that was cut and engraved. The sides has vertical ridges. At the bottom of the glass is an image of General Lafayette. The image is made of sulphide. The bust image is facing left. Lafayette's hair is in pompadour style.
Notes This glass was made by Bakewell, Page, and Bakewell a glass company that was in business from 1808 to 1882. This tumbler was made to commemorate Lafayette's visit to America in 1824 and 1825.
