Description This mortice gauge has a boxwood stem with adjustable brass rail secured by a brass thumbscrew. It is calibrated in 1/16" to 6" increments. The boxwood fence has a brass plate screwed to the inside edge. The brass set screw on the fence is in a brass tri-oval fitting.
Notes Collected by the donor over the last 30 years from barns, storage sheds and antique stores in north central Kentucky and probably southern Indiana and Ohio as well.
