Description This is a coin silver dinner fork made by Taylor and Lawrie of Philadelphia, PA. It has four tines. The handle has a shell pattern at the end on both top and bottom. The shell pattern is repeated on the back of the fork at the base of the tines. The handle is also decorated with an acanthus motif. The hallmarks and maker's name are stamped on the bottom of the handle.
Notes Taylor and Robert D. Lawrie were Philadelphia silversmiths from 1837 to 1850.
