Description This is a veneer cutter. It has a heavy bar with a sliding fence. The cutter slot is mortised through the bar to the left of the fixed handle;. A wedge in the fence locks its position on the bar.
Notes Used for cutting out thin boards such as drawer bottoms or wide strips of veneer parallel with the edge of the cutting board. Collected by the donor from antique stores, barns, etc. in southern Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky over the last thirty years.
