Description This is a Barry Goldwater bumper sticker. It is a red, adhesive-backed sticker with gold-colored text which reads "GOLDWATER 64" where the line that would finish off the "4" if one were handwriting it forms an arrow pointing to the right.
Notes Barry Goldwater, Senator from Arizona, was the Republican nominee for president in 1964. He lost to Democrat Lyndon Johnson. The donor worked in the local presidential campaigns of Nelson Rockefeller and Eugene McCarthy in Louisville. He collected political campaign memorabilia from 1964-1975.
