Description This fruit press has a black enameled base with four legs. The side and rear legs are connected by stringers. The front legs are reinforced with iron angle braces. The top of the base has sides with chamfered bottom edges. The corners are reinforced with tounge and groove joints. It has a hole for the galvanized drain spout. A slotted wood platform rests on top of the base. An iron screw is mortised through the platform and base into a block screwed to the bottom of the base. There are two sliding plungers on the screw, and another above with s brass ring (which prevents this plunger from sliding more than half way down). There is a two handed press threaded onto a screw above that. There is a slotted wooden cylinder around the plungers which is held together with two iron straps secured by brass screws. There are two wooden blocks inside the tub.
