Description This object is a delegate badge from the 1912 Kentucky State Republican Convention held in Louisville, KY. The badge features a top celluloid process button with tinplating and a straight pin. An American flag creates a border within which is an illustration of a log cabin in blue ink on a white background. A blue ribbon hangs from the button. Printed in gold on the ribbon is the following text: "REPBULICAN / STATE / CONVENTION / LOUISVILLE, KY / DELEGATE". There are three lines of a diamond pattern separating the words. The paper label on the back of the pin features a manufacturer information below an Allied Printing Trade Council Union Label seal. "Buttons made by / Whitehead & Hoag Co. / Newark, N. J., U. S. A. / Pat. April 14, 1896 / July 21, 1896" is stamped in black ink.
