Description This is a self-adhesive bumper sticker from Katherine Peden's 1968 run for U.S. Senator from Kentucky. It has a midnight blue background and bright orange lettering "Peden / The Democrat for U.S. Senator." There is a makers mark in the lower left corner.
Notes Katherine Peden, a Democrat, ran for the U.S. Senate and was the first woman to be nominated for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky. She lost to Marlowe Cooke.

The donor, Chuck Pittenger, worked in the local presidential campaigns of Nelson Rockefeller and Eugene McCarthy in Louisville. He collected political campaign memorabilia from 1964-1975.
