Description This wooden leatherworker's clamp has two oak arms connected by an iron hinge at the base. There are oval cutouts at the lips and rectangular mortise in both arms. A wooden shaft runs through the mortise with a "T" screw and spreader on one side and a wood/metal tension lever on the other. The tension lever has been repaired with wire.
Notes Collected by the donor over the last thirty years from barns, storage sheds, and antique stores in north central Kentucky and probably southern Indiana and Ohio as well.
