|Description||This is a coin silver goblet with a flared cup. There is a decorative floral motif encircling the top of the base and the cup rim. An embossed design is the focal point of the cup. The design is of American flags draping the sides of a crest. At the top of the crest is an eagle and surrounding the crest is imagery of tents, weapons, and greener. "Jones" is engraved in the center of the crest.|
This goblet was won by Colonel (or possibly Major) Humphrey Jones, of Woodford County, grandfather of the donor.
Humphrey Jones married Ophelia Bohannon. Their daughter Fannie Bohannon Jones married William Taylor. The Taylors are the parents of the donor.
