|Description||This is a manufacturer's demonstration sample button for the coat-tail political campaigns of George McGovern and Patrick Lucey. It is a circular celluloid-type button with a white background. The button has red and blue text that reads, "McGOVERN / Together / We Win / LUCEY." Both of the candidates' names are printed in red and the other text is blue. The button has a tinplate backing with a brass safety pin style closure. Along the back edge, there is small blue text that says, "Authorized and Paid for by National Friends of Lucey, 710 N. Plankinton, Milwaukee, Wis., M. William Gerrard, Chairman." To the right of the text, there is a small blue union label. On the back of the button, there is a piece of masking tape with the inscription "DEMO / CONV/ '72."|
