Description This is an edge trimmer for leather work. It has a turned wooden handle with three inscribed lines at the ball and two at the top, with a brass yoke. The iron curves from the tang and ends in a toothed groove.
Notes Collected by the donor over the last thirty years from barns, storage sheds, and antique stores in north central Kentucky and probably southern Indiana and Ohio as well. Tool used for removing sharp edges from new straps and similar heavy leather.
