Description This tonguing plane has a beech stock with an integral closed handle at the heel end. There is a shelf on the right and there are two parallel fences on the bottom shape tongue profile. The left fence has an iron rail pinned to it. There is a standard wedge and tongue cutting iron.
Notes Collected by the donor over the last 30 years from barns, storage sheds, and antique stores in north central Kentucky and probably southern Indiana and Ohio as well. Match to 1993.8.233; used to make a tongue for a tongue and groove joint.
