Description This tonguing plane has a beech stock with a wide gently sloping shoulder on the right. There is an integral enclosed handle carved behind the iron. It has tongue-cutting profile iron and sole with iron faced fence on left edge of sole secured with five screws. There is a shouldered blade with shaving aperture cut through shoulder only. The maker's mark is stamped in the toe.
Notes Used to cut grooves across the grain.
