Description This is a presidential campaign button from the 1968 campaign of Senator Eugene McCarthy made using the lithographic process. The button has a blue background with "EUGENE" in white letters through the center of the button. There is small white printer's label along the edge. The back has a stick pin fastener.
Notes Senator Eugene McCarthy was an unsuccessful candidate for the 1968 Democratic presidential nomination. The donor worked in the local presidential campaigns of Republican Nelson Rockefeller in 1964 and Democrat Eugene McCarthy in 1968 in Louisville.
