Description This is a set of aluminum arm braces. The top is forked with two aluminum reinforced leather semi-circular pads riveted between the tines of the fork. There is a leather padded handgrip riveted at the base of the tines. A hollow aluminum shaft is screwed into a socket at the base of the fork. There are solid aluminum cylinders inserted into the tip of each shaft.
Notes Gertrude Doll contracted polio at an early age and wore these braces from 1953-1971.
