Description This large earthenware urn is light brown in color with a round base, rounded shoulders, narrower neck, and flared rim. There are two handles attached at the shoulders and neck. There are two dull red stripes at middle of the body, the shoulders, the top of the neck and the rim.
Notes Records note this as a Carthaginian burial urn that was discovered in a tomb by a party of Italian prisoners during World War II. The tomb was estimated to be about 2,200 years old and it contained about 20 burial jars and other pottery.
