|Description||This is an elongated oval shuttle with straight sides. It was hand carved. It has a rectangular cutout in the middle. The tips of the shuttle taper at the top and bottom. There is an oval slot in the front of the shuttle. Inside the cutout is a hole on the left and a slot on the right to hold the bobbin.|
|Notes||Old card, "From the boyhood home, in Magoffin County, of the late Dr. F.A. Millard. Made by John B. Millard, Dr. Millard's father." Donor is F.A. Millard's daughter. John B. Millard was born December 3, 1858, in KY and died on September 2, 1937. A white farmer listed in the 1880 Magoffin Co. Census, he married Mary Millard(1859-1928).|
