Description This is a wooden mantle clock with two round windows on the door. The bottom window once held a portrait of George Washington but it was removed at the past. The piece has scrolls on the door between the windows.The face of the clock is marked with Roman numerals and is marked along the edge "PAT MAY 10 1859." The inside of the clock has a paper label at the back that reads "DIRECTIONS/ FOR SETTING THE CLOCK RUNNING..." The interior of the door has pencil markings from previous clock repairs that read "Strike Rep Dec 30/ 85" and "Rep May-98."
