Description This print depicts a white clapboard house in middle foreground with a front porch, and the margin at the bottom has a caption that reads, "BATHURST, ESSEX CO., VIRGINIA / HOME OF THOS. AP THOS. JONES. / FARM SOLD FOR $20,000.00 IN 1810. / HOUSE ERECTED CIRCA 1692." There are two front dormers on the second floor, a chimney with trailing ivy on the gable end, and a kitchen wing to the left with a wooden door. There is a curved path lined with bushes and trees in the foreground leading from the bottom center to the front porch. Cabin structures are visible in the left background, and there is are large trees behind the kitchen L and to the right of the porch. More trees are drawn in the backgound.
