Description This is a sap bucket, with tounge and grooved wooden slats secured by metal strap. The bottom is fitted into a groove in the ends of the slats. It is painted black on inside and has copper wire wrapped around the slats at the bottom. It has white lettering on the side, "GFU" (?).
Notes Collected by the donor from antique shops and barns, etc. in southern Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky over the last thirty years.
