Description This cradle is made of pine that is painted to resemble rosewood graining. The graining may be a later addition. It has hand slotted screws securing the rockers to the case. The cradle has dovetail joining and there are two handles, one at the middle of each side.
Notes The old catalog cards say that this cradle was used by the family of Captain Abraham Owens. It also mentions that Owens was killed at the battle of Tippecanoe in 1811.
